Answer : If our forefathers got a chance to visit our world once again, we are sure, they would have been thundered having seen modern inventions. They would have perhaps passed a comment that those were just the magic or deeds of ghosts. In fact, science has achieved miracles. With the lighting of the first by the prehistoric caveman the wonder of science began.

One hundred years ago people had to work on foot miles after miles or they had to travel by boats. Today, the situation has totally changed with the blessing of science. With the invention of electricity, telephone, wireless, television, the rocket and radar a radical change has occurred in the field of communication.
একশো বছর আগে মানুষ মাইল মাইল পরে মাইল কাজ করতে হয়েছিল বা তাদের নৌকায় করে ভ্রমণ করতে হয়েছিল। আজ বিজ্ঞানের আশীর্বাদে পরিস্থিতি পুরোপুরি বদলে গেছে। বিদ্যুৎ, টেলিফোন, ওয়্যারলেস, টেলিভিশন উদ্ভাবনের ফলে রকেট ও রাডার যোগাযোগের ক্ষেত্রে এক আমূল পরিবর্তন ঘটেছে।
Only one hundred years ago we were the helpless victims of several diseases. Cholera, diarrhea, small pox, chicken pox, typhoid, pneumonia malaria, once had been the killers of millions people. Today science has conquered some disease. Surgery and plastic surgery have also defeated diseases.
মাত্র একশত বছর আগে আমরা বেশ কয়েকটি রোগে অসহায় হয়ে পড়েছিলাম। কলেরা, ডায়রিয়া, ছোট পক্স, চিকেন পক্স, টাইফয়েড, নিউমোনিয়া ম্যালেরিয়া একসময় লক্ষ লক্ষ মানুষের হত্যাকারী ছিল। আজ বিজ্ঞান কিছু রোগকে জয় করেছে। সার্জারি এবং প্লাস্টিক সার্জারিও রোগগুলিকে পরাজিত করেছে।
We are not dependent on rainfall for our agriculture. We can use power tiller, shallow and deep tube-wells. Tractor and power pump and fertilizer have increased the production. Computer has become an essential part of life and constant companion of man. science will relieve us in the years to come from the problem like fatal disease and hunger which will no more remain as serious problems. Science is going to conquer cancer and AIDS.
আমরা আমাদের কৃষির জন্য বৃষ্টির উপর নির্ভর করি না। আমরা পাওয়ার টিলার, অগভীর এবং গভীর টিউবওয়েল ব্যবহার করতে পারি। ট্রাক্টর এবং পাওয়ার পাম্প এবং সার উত্পাদন বৃদ্ধি করেছে। কম্পিউটার জীবনের একটি অপরিহার্য অঙ্গ এবং মানুষের অবিরাম সঙ্গী হয়ে উঠেছে। বিজ্ঞান আমাদের মারাত্মক রোগ এবং ক্ষুধির মতো সমস্যা থেকে আগত বছরগুলিতে মুক্তি দেবে যা গুরুতর সমস্যা হিসাবে আর থাকবে না। বিজ্ঞান ক্যান্সার এবং এইডসকে জয় করতে চলেছে।
Science is not only a blessing. But it may also prove to be a curse. The instance of Hiroshima and Nagasaki still remains nightmarish experience. Invention of deadly weapons are there for destructive purposes.
বিজ্ঞান কেবল আশীর্বাদই নয়। তবে এটি অভিশাপ হিসাবেও প্রমাণিত হতে পারে। হিরোশিমা এবং নাগশাখির উদাহরণ এখনও দুঃস্বপ্নের অভিজ্ঞতা। ধ্বংসাত্মক উদ্দেশ্যে রয়েছে মারাত্মক অস্ত্রের আবিষ্কার।
More wonders of science are awaiting human beings to shape their lives on the planet the earth. Man's inventions and activities should be controlled and guided by wisdom's for the welfare of mankind.
বিজ্ঞানের আরও বিস্ময় পৃথিবীর গ্রহে তাদের জীবন গঠনের জন্য মানুষের অপেক্ষায় রয়েছে। মানুষের উদ্ভাবন এবং ক্রিয়াকলাপ মানবজাতির কল্যাণে জ্ঞানের দ্বারা নিয়ন্ত্রিত ও পরিচালিত হওয়া উচিত।
