Mother Teresa.
Answer : Mother Teresa was a famous humanitarian. She was born in 1910 at Skopje in Yugoslavia. Only at the age of 12, she felt an urge within herself to spread love of Christ. At the age of 18, she decided to become a nun. In 1928, she came to India and became an Indian citizen. She started her life in India as a teacher in a convent school, but soon the mother arose in her. She was moved by the presence of the sick and the dying on the streets of Kolkata. She devoted herself to work for poorest of the poor. She established Nirmal Hridoy' for the destitutes. Her 'Nirmal Hridoy' became the only shelter for the extreme sufferers. She and her fellow nuns worked together to gather helpless dying people off the streets. As recognition of her work she was awarded Nobel Prize in 1979. Besides, she was awared with several awards in her life for her outstanding contribution to humanity. She left us on 5 September in 1997 at the age of 87.
