Answer : The statue of liberty is one of the remarkable world Heritage Sites in the world. It symbolises liberty in the figure of a woman wearing flowing robs and a spiked crown. This statue is situated on Liberty Island in New York. The statue holds a toọrch aloft in her right hand and carries in her left hand a book inscribed 'July 4, 1776'. The broken chain lies at her feet symbolises the overthrow of tyranny. Raising money France completed the statue in July 1884 and sent it to the USA to commemorate the centennial of US independence in 1876. The statue is made of copper sheets riveted to an iron framework. It is one of the largest statues in the world. Thousands of people saw the unveiling ceremony of the Statue of Liberty on October, 1886. The statue has become a global symbol of freedom drawing the attention of millions immigrants to the United States.
