এমন মানব জমিন রইল পতিত আবাদ করলে ফলত সোনা।
মুলভাব : আশরাফুল মাখলুকাত মানুষ তার স্বল্পায়ু জীবন মহান স্রষ্টা আল্লাহ নির্দেশিত পথে পরিচালিত করে জীবন ও জগতের তরে সোনার চেয়ে দামী কর্মফল ফলাতে পারে।
সম্প্রসারিত ভাব : মাটির বৈশিষ্ট্য হল যথাযথ আবাদ করে তাতে বিভিন্ন ফসল ফলানো যায়। কিন্তু পতিত রাখলে তাতে বিভিন্ন উদ্ভিদ জন্মে। এরপরও অনাবাদী রাখলে পর্যায়ক্রমে তাতে বড় বড় বৃক্ষের জন্ম হয়, বিভিন্ন ধরনের বন্য প্রাণীর আগমন ঘটে এমনকি একসময় হিংস্র বন্য প্রাণীর আগমনে ভীত হয়ে সে মাটির আশপাশ দিয়ে চলাচলও বিপজ্জনক হয়ে উঠে। অথচ এ মাটিতেই যথাসময়ে আবাদ করলে মূল্যবান ফসল ফলানো যেত। তদ্রূপ আমাদের মানব জীবনও একটা জমিন। এ জমিনে সততা, সত্যবাদিতা, ন্যায়নিষ্ঠা, আদর্শবাদিতা ইত্যাদি সৎগুণাবলির আবাদ করতে হয়। সৎকর্মের মধ্যে দিয়ে মানব সেবার মহান ব্রত গ্রহণ করতে হয়। পক্ষান্তরে, অলস ও কর্মবিমুখ জীবন ব্যর্থতারই নামান্তর। অথচ অনেকেই আলস্যে দিন কাটিয়ে অবহেলায় মূল্যবান মানবজীবন ধ্বংস করে কোন ফসল না ফলিয়েই। এদের পার্থিব ও পারলৌকিক উভয় জীবনই ব্যর্থতায় পর্যবসিত হয়। অথচ দৃশ্যমান বস্তুজগতে মানুষই একমাত্র প্রাণী যে তার চিন্তাশক্তির যথার্থ ব্যবহার করে দুটো হাতকে কাজে লাগিয়ে বিশ্বের বর্তমান ও অনাগত মানুষের কল্যাণে মূল্যবান কিছু করে যেতে পারে। বিজ্ঞানী আইনস্টাইন, নিউটন, কবি হোমার নজরুল প্রমুখ ব্যক্তিবর্গ মানবকল্যাণে তাঁদের মূল্যবান কর্মের কারণে মরেও আজ অমর।
মন্তব্য : জীবন রূপ জমিন একটাই। এত একাধিক ফসল ফলানো যায়। তাই জগৎ ও জীবনের প্রয়োজনে সঠিক সময়ে সঠিক কাজ করার মাধ্যমে ফুলে ফুলে ভরে তুলতে হবে জীবনের ডালি।

However, if the soil was planted in time, valuable crops could be grown. Similarly, our human life is also a texture. Honesty, truthfulness, fairness, idealism, etc. are to be cultivated in this land. One has to take the great vow of human service through good deeds. On the other hand, lazy and idle life is the name of failure. But many people spend their days in idleness and destroy valuable human life due to negligence without producing any crop. Their worldly and otherworldly lives end in failure. But in the visible material world, man is the only creature that can use his thinking power to do something valuable for the welfare of the present and future people of the world by using both hands. Scientists like Einstein, Newton, poet Homer Nazrul are immortal today even if they die due to their valuable work in human welfare.
