প্রীতিহীন হৃদয় আর প্রত্যয়হীন কর্ম দুই-ই অসার্থক।
মূলভাব : জীবনে যথার্থ সুখ লাভের জন্য প্রতিটি মানুষের একে অপরের প্রতি ভালবাসা থাকা যেমন জরুরি, তেমনি সফলতা লাভের জন্য প্রতিটি কাজও প্রত্যয়ের সাথে করা জরুরি।
সম্প্রসারিত ভাব : জন্মগতভাবেই মানুষ ভালবাসার দাস। প্রেম-প্রীতি ভালবাসার বলেই সেই আদিকাল থেকে মানুষ একে অপরের সাথে কাঁধে কাঁধ মিলিয়ে নির্মাণ করে আসছে সমাজ জীবন। যুগ যুগ ধরে পরস্পরের প্রতি প্রীতির মাঝেই মানুষ খুঁজে ফিরে শান্তির শ্বেত কপোত। রচনা করে হৃদয় উথিত আবেগ মথিত কবিতা আর গান :
‘প্রীতি ও প্রেমের পুণ্য বাঁধনে, যবে মিলি পরস্পরে,
স্বর্গ আসিয়া দাঁড়ায় তখন আমাদেরই কুঁড়েঘরে।
প্রীতির কারণেই প্রয়োজনে পরহিতে মানুষ প্রাণ বিসর্জন দেয়, সৃষ্টি করে উদাহরণ। পক্ষান্তরে মানব হৃদয় প্রীতিহীন নির্মম, নৃশংস, হলে ব্যক্তি তথা সমাজ জীবনে নেমে আসে সমূহ বিপর্যয়। তখন হিংসা, হানাহানিতে সমাজ কলুষিত হয়ে উঠে। এ কারণে নিরর্থক প্রীতিহীন হৃদয় কারো কাম্য হতে পারে না। ঠিক তেমনি মানব জীবনের প্রতিটি কাজে আমাদের দৃঢ় প্রত্যয় থাকা আবশ্যক। দৃঢ় প্রত্যয়ের সাথে যে কাজই করা হোক না কেন তা সার্থক হবেই। পক্ষান্তরে, প্রত্যয়হীন কর্ম অর্থহীন, অসার্থক। যে ছাত্র দৃঢ় প্রত্যয়ের সাথে পড়াশুনা করে না, প্রশংসনীয় সফলতার মুখ সে কখনোই দেখতে পারে না। জীবনের প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রেই এ কথা প্রযোজ্য।
মন্তব্য : আমরা এখন ছাত্র। জীবন গঠনের এটাই আমাদের প্রকৃষ্ট সময়। প্রীতিপূর্ণ হৃদয় গঠনের আর প্রত্যয় নিয়ে কাজ করার যথার্থ শিক্ষা গ্রহণে আমাদের তাই এখনই যত্নবান হতে হবে। কেননা আমরা বিশ্বাস করি :
প্রত্যয়হীন কর্ম আর প্রীতিহীন হৃদয়
কখনও সফল সার্থক নয়।
English Translate :
A heart without love and action without conviction are both useless.
Essence : Just as it is important for every human being to have love for each other in order to attain true happiness in life, it is also important to do every task with conviction in order to achieve success.

Whatever is done with firm conviction will be successful. On the other hand, action without conviction is meaningless, meaningless.
