Dear friend,
I am very glad to receive your letter. You have requested me to discuss the importance of learning English.
It is needless to say that English is an international language. You are fit everywhere if you know English well. But it is not so easy to learn English well. If you want to learn English at first you have to be determined to learn it. There are various kinds of English books and it is very helpful to learn English. The importance of learning English is found in higher education. You can't imagine about higher education without English. Most of the students of our country study to get a good job and they face necessity of learning English. If you want to mix with standard society, you need to learn English. Without learning English you can't communicate with foreigners. A lot of people of our country go abroad for various purposes and English is essential for them. You cannot be benefited from modern science and technology without English.

ইংরেজি যে একটি আন্তর্জাতিক ভাষা তা বলাই বাহুল্য। আপনি ইংরেজি ভাল জানেন যদি আপনি সব জায়গায় উপযুক্ত। কিন্তু ইংরেজি ভালোভাবে শেখা এত সহজ নয়। আপনি যদি প্রথমে ইংরেজি শিখতে চান তবে আপনাকে এটি শিখতে দৃঢ় সংকল্পবদ্ধ হতে হবে। এখানে বিভিন্ন ধরণের ইংরেজি বই রয়েছে এবং এটি ইংরেজি শেখার জন্য খুবই সহায়ক। উচ্চশিক্ষায় ইংরেজি শেখার গুরুত্ব পাওয়া যায়। ইংরেজি ছাড়া উচ্চশিক্ষার কথা কল্পনাও করা যায় না। আমাদের দেশের বেশিরভাগ শিক্ষার্থী একটি ভাল চাকরি পাওয়ার জন্য পড়াশোনা করে এবং তাদের ইংরেজি শেখার প্রয়োজন হয়। আপনি যদি আদর্শ সমাজের সাথে মিশতে চান তবে আপনাকে ইংরেজি শিখতে হবে। ইংরেজি না শিখলে আপনি বিদেশীদের সাথে যোগাযোগ করতে পারবেন না। আমাদের দেশের অনেক মানুষ বিভিন্ন কাজে বিদেশে যায় এবং তাদের জন্য ইংরেজি অপরিহার্য। ইংরেজি ছাড়া আপনি আধুনিক বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি থেকে উপকৃত হতে পারবেন না।
