ডাক্তার পরীক্ষা নিরীক্ষা করে এইডসের জীবাণু রিমির মায়ের, দেহে শনাক্ত করতে পারায় নিশ্চিত হলেন যে রিমির মা এইডস রােগে আক্রান্ত হয়েছেন। এইচআইভি ভাইরাস অনেক দিন পর্যন্ত শরীরে সুপ্ত অবস্থায় থাকে। তবে সাধারণত এ রােগের সুপ্তিকাল ৬-৭ মাস পর্যন্ত ।
